Lately there’s been a wave of “smart” moves in the username auction space.

Some sellers jump into their own auctions with multiple wallets and place small bids just to create activity. The goal is simple: make it look like there’s interest so a real buyer thinks “okay, something’s going on here” and jumps in.

But buyers aren’t naive anymore. They know this trick.

Here’s why you shouldn’t rush into these auctions:

First, being 4 letters long does not automatically make a username valuable.
Real value comes from organic growth potential, branding power, and meaning. A short name with no real use or brand strength isn’t gold just because it’s short.

Second, when you see a “resell” tag next to a username, that’s already a signal. It usually means the previous buyer never intended to build anything with it. They bought it purely to flip for profit. That matters.

Third, in many cases, the same original buyer re-lists the username and uses multiple wallets to simulate demand, hoping to attract a new buyer through artificial momentum. But this game is not new anymore. Most serious buyers recognize it.

Now the real question:
Why should a username like https://t.me/seek be priced higher than https://t.me/store?

Logically speaking, “store” is a highly commercial, brand-friendly word with massive real-world usability. Its branding potential is significantly stronger. When pricing ignores logic, smart buyers simply walk away.

The main point is this:
If you weren’t aware of these wallet games before, now you are. Don’t let artificial hype push you into selling valuable usernames too cheap.

Especially direct sales at low prices. Because later, when you see much higher numbers on Fragment, regret is almost guaranteed.

One more thing: 4-letter usernames are running out. The market will eventually move into a new phase.

So right now might not be the time for emotional selling — especially if you’re holding something truly strong.
